The University of Lethbridge and Lethbridge College will open their doors for the fall semester this week, and at least one local business is thrilled.

Residents, business owners and representatives from the City of Lethbridge are expressing cautious optimism now that Alberta has dropped most provincial COVID-19 health restrictions.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney stated earlier this week that with the current COVID-19 wave starting to plateau, the province is hoping to remove the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) within the next few weeks.
