'Just seems ridiculous': 90-year-old swimmer can't believe she's logged 10,000 miles at Elgin Y
On Wednesday 90-year-old Lavon Bayler of Elgin finished her 10,000th mile of swimming in the Taylor YMCA pool in Elgin. She started there in 1978 and has been swimming five days a week most weeks since.
