A NEW coronavirus outbreak at an Easter Ross care home is a grim reminder of the devastating impact of the virus and the need to stay alert.
So said Ross-based MSP Maree Todd as a cluster at Mull Hall care home at Barbaraville was notified.
It follows outbreaks at Kintyre House and Castle Gardens in Invergordon, and Fodderty House near Dingwall.

ANOTHER Easter Ross care home has reported twelve cases of Covid among residents and staff.
NHS Highland confirmed that Mull Hall care home has reported eight cases among residents and four among staff.
The independent care home is operated by Sanctuary Care, who also operate Kintyre House in Dingwall.
Kintrye house has, sadly, reported seven deaths among residents since that earlier outbreak was notified.

An update briefing from NHS Highland has been shared with constituents via Cromarty Firth councillor Maxine Morley-Smith.
It shows the number of new cases continuing to reduce slowly. The infection rate is 71/100,000 across the NHS Highland area: 85/100,000 in Argyll and Bute and 66/100,000 in North Highland, according to the latest avialable figures.
NHS Highland said it was continuing to manage outbreaks in three care homes â Castle Gardens and Kintyre House in Invergordon and Fodderty House near Dingwall.
