UK broadcaster Sky picked up the 26 x 11-minute animated adventure series, which premiered in the UK on Sky Kids and VOD platform NOW TV on January 15. Snowsnaps , which 0riginally premiered in the US on Disney Junior in late 2020, is a spinoff of Carpediem’s animated film Snowtime and tracks a group best of friends who play outside in the snow. (TBA) Plot Concept: Set in Kyoto’s “hanamachi” geisha quarter, after geisha finish their work late at night, they spend the night resting at a lodge to prepare for the next day. The story centers on Kiyo, an Aomori native who works as a cook in a geisha lodge in Kyoto after finishing junior high school and leaving home. She also has a friend named Sumire who is a maiko, or apprentice geisha.
