'If any student feels that he is completely prepared and is satisfied with the score in the first set of exams, he can choose not to appear for the next exams. Nothing will be mandatory,' pradhan said.
To address the increasing number of student suicides in Kota, India, wardens and staff members of hostels will receive professional training in mess management, psychological counseling, and student care. Three hostel associations have partnered with a local university to design special certificate courses for the staff. Over 2.5 lakh (250,000) students come to Kota each year to prepare for entrance exams.
