Water trucks and even fire engines deployed to distribute water amid a heat wave that’s expected to continue

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) notices issued in March reveal that it greenlit seven new investment projects worth a cumulative $33.7 million, which are expected to generate a total of 6,669 jobs. Four of them are located in Phnom Penh.

A team from the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) is working closely with the Takhmao fire department to provide water to the residents of Takhmao town. Several members of the public have complained about a severe lack of water pressure in recent weeks, with some claiming there is no water coming through the pipes at all.

Prime Minister Hun Sen has instructed the Ministry of Health to prepare several hundred beds at the Techo Santepheap National Hospital so any of Team Cambodia’s athletes who are injured while training or competing will be able to access free treatment.

Prime Minister Hun Sen on January 19 visited the construction site of the National Techo Peace Hospital which, once completed, will become the largest hospital in Cambodia with nearly 10,000 inpatient beds.
