After 25 years as the maintenance supervisor for the Freeport Park District, Merle Hull retired from a job he loves.

Todd McKenna FREEPORT — A proposed housing development for older residents is moving forward in the approval process.  Developers plan is to build 16 duplex townhomes near Krape Park on 6.2 acres that previously was a home site but is now vacant. Park Partners LLC has submitted its plan to the city of Freeport.
