Ukraine air defences: Russia perseveres with bombardments of Ukraine in an effort to wear down air defences
Russia launched drones and missiles at southern and eastern Ukraine, injuring over a dozen people. Ukraine's air force intercepted 26 out of 28 Shahed drones and reported five missile launches. The attacks, part of Russia's ongoing bombardment, aim to wear down Ukrainian defenses, weaken morale, and retaliate for Ukrainian strikes on Russia. Ukraine awaits F-16 fighter jets from Western allies, which Russia warns will be targeted if used against them. Despite this, Russia claims the F-16s won't change the battlefield situation.
