India News: Hundreds of voters in urban Jamshedpur were turned away from polling booths as their names were missing from the official list on Saturday.

Hundreds of voters in urban areas of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat faced issues as their names went missing from the official voter list. Cases were noticed in Jamshedpur West, Jamshedpur East, and parts of Jugsalai assembly segments. Voters with voter ID cards were unable to cast their votes, leading to frustration and complaints. Similar incidents were reported in other booths as well, highlighting the challenges faced by urban voters in the recent elections.

The commissioner of Pune city police, Amitesh Kumar said that the grandfather of the accused was arrested. A separate FIR has been registered against him under IPC sections 365 and 368.

"When the driver was first brought to the Police Station from the spot, the first statement which he gave in writing was that he was driving the car. But the Police Station at that point of time disbelieved the statement of the driver and after a preliminary inquiry, they registered an offence against the juvenile accused because it was evident prima facie that the juvenile accused was driving the vehicle," Kumar said.
