Carrying the theme “Magtanim Ayon sa Kakayahan, Kumuha Batay sa Pangangailangan” some of the 2,800 vegetable and fruit-bearing seedlings were brought to the Mini-forest, Capitol Compound, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that the vegetables and fruit-bearing tree seedlings are good preparations for the future.
“Today, our life is full of challenges and struggles, and no one can say when the COVID-19 will end,” he said.
Fernando said eating vegetables is very important and a healthy lifestyle means reducing meat consumption.
Citing medical experts, the Bulacan governor said that vegetables and fruits are laden with vitamins, minerals, and fiber that are good for the body. These nutrients reduce the risk of chronic disease, diabetes, cancer, obesity, and hyperactivity. (Freddie C. Velez) ....
