Adrian Clarke is of the view that West Brom pair Kyle Bartley and Cedric Kipre have formed an outstanding partnership.

Darnell Furlong’s fifth-minute goal has given West Brom a 1-0 half-time lead over the Blues at the Hawthorns.

Town fell to only their second Championship defeat of the season and first away from home in the league since January as goals at the start of each half from Darnell Furlong and Grady Diangana saw West Brom to victory at the Hawthorns in Blues manager Kieran McKenna’s 100th game in charge of the club. Furlong’s flicked header from a corner gave the Baggies the lead in the fifth minute, then Diangana added the second two minutes after the break with the Blues subsequently never looking like taking anything from the game.

It’s another trip to the Midlands following the international break for the Super Blues as they take on play off pushers West Bromwich Albion. Albion finished last season in ninth place, three points away from Sunderland in sixth.

Goals from Tamás Priskin and Gareth McAuley saw the Blues to a 2-1 victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Priskin put Town in front early on before Stephen Quinn equalised for the home side, McAuley grabbing the winner just before half-time.
