Prior to opening the Lake House, located at 2700 N. Main St., the restaurant was renovated and welcomed an outdoor patio feature that overlooked Lake Mitchell.
“When these four TIFs dissolved due to all of the associated costs being paid off, that’s all shown as new growth. Because of these TIFs, it’s brought a huge amount of assessed value to the city,” City Administrator Stephanie Ellwein said.
Council member Marty Barington emphasized that the decision to advance the drawdown of Lake Mitchell that’s estimated to cost around $3.5 million was not a vote on the entire Lake Mitchell dredging project.
If approved, one domestic pig bred for human companionship would be allowed to be housed at a dwelling within city limits.
“We are excited to bring this turn-key event venue to Mitchell. We will have shuttles, offer food catering and beverages to host a wide range of events,” Austen Iverson said of his plans to turn the property into an event venue.
