The park in downtown Fort Lauderdale will soon get a $15 million redesign along with a new two-story restaurant built by the same group that owns the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne.
Two-story, 5,000-square-foot restaurant, with 1,500 square feet of outdoor space, is part of $15 million park renovation.
Addressing controversy over proposed changes to downtown Fort Lauderdale's Huizenga Park, the chairman of the Huizenga Park Foundation and the chairman of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority write that the reimagined park will become "a world-class public space in perpetuity once construction is complete."
