At the BBC Comedy Festival, Director of Comedy Jon Petrie revealed that the BBC will invest an extra £10 million ($12.2 million) in comedy programming over the next two years.

The channel will broadcast old episodes of Fleabag, Killing Eve and This Country, all of which are available on the iPlayer

Up to 20 Life Lessons sketches to be commissioned The BBC has revealed more details of its  Laugh Lessons initiative to make more short comedy films. Commissioners will order up to 20 sketches aimed at 16-24 year olds as part of its Laugh Lesson strand. The Corporation said: ‘Topics we’re interested in include areas such as climate change, love and dating, politics, health, sexuality and sexual identity, living situations, friendship, holidays, family, school, university, jobs and money.
