Can see william shatner in the middle seat, in the back seat, making his way to the launchpad with jeff bezos driving. quite a moment for the founder of blue origin and his childhood hero sitting in the back seat, the actor who played captain kirk in all of those star trek franchises. and, you know there is really something to be said about this is not just a space flight for these four crew members. this is also an experience that started on saturday. it is an experience in team building, in crew building, they spent two days in astronaut training here at launch complex one, even though this is a totally autonomous spacecraft, they don t have to do a whole lot. and one of my favorite things that william shatner actually said, he actually made a mistake and described it as rehearsing instead of training. clearly hard to, you know, get past some of the language that he s been so used to as an actor ....

Challenger accident. my first night we slept. i was mad. i am ready to go. we went through hours and hours of work. the next day i was more color. comfortable. i was a rookie. the first night i was nervous. will this be okay? the slip was good for me because i felt more confidence. tom any good stories? at some point you need to release all of this stress about technical aspects of the rocket. it s somebody else s job to get the rocket ready. you put your trust in the hundreds of people who prepared the space shuttle for our flights. when you are on the launchpad and hear about techinal difficulties, they will fix those things if they can. if not we will postpone. all i could do was focus on what i was getting ready to do and focus on my preparation mentally. i think it was a comforting ....

People each time. you know that capsule can hold up to six people. we will start to see vanhorn, texas, become more and more prevalent as this launch site becomes used more by blue origin and reuse the capsule and reuse that thruster which i can tell you is pretty wild to see return after going to the sky, come back and land on a launchpad not too far away from where it took off. so the fact they re able to reuse these tools is a positive sign of what s to come. let me bring in colonel hatfield here. what do you believe these private spaceflights are accomplishing? and what do you say to folks who say, ah, this feel like a whole bunch of rich guys just trying to show-off? what say you? i think everybody not only ....
