POLICE recovered a vehicle from a suspected hare courser in Layer Marney. Officers were called to a field in the village on Tuesday after reports of hare coursing in the area. A vehicle had become stuck in the mud in a field, before being abandoned. Luckily the owner of the land was on hand to help officers removed the vehicle and take it into their custody. A spokesman for Essex Police Colchester said: "Following reports of Hare Coursing in Layer Marney we have used 'the long arm of the law' to recover a vehicle.
