Data from the State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) reveals that Monday's peak power demand reached 5134 MW in the morning hours, surpassing previous records from January 1 of 2023 (4614 MW), 2022 (4487 MW), 2021 (5021 MW), and 2019 (4472 MW).
