A MUM was forced to "slam on" her brakes after she nearly ran over a man who had been attacked and left in the middle of a road. Antonia Kelly was driving up to Islands Brow when she spotted a man in his 40s lying bloodied and battered in the road on Wednesday, July, 14. She said when she stopped her car to get out and help, she spotted a man in his mid-20s at the side of the road. Antonia, 26, who works as a florist, told the Star: “I came around the corner and saw him lying in front of the road so I slammed on and jumped out the car.

Among the comments were messages which read: "What the hell is going on with kids nowadays! "Isn’t safe to go any where! Hope the little lad is okay." Another stated: "How awful for the young boy, no wonder a lot of them won't go out on their own. "What the hell is going on in their minds to commit this kind of violence. "Need a couple of park keepers like they used to do. Say a couple, used be be just the one, but the way things have gone, not safe to do this job on their own. "Hope he recovers physically & mentally."
