Bangladesh's rawhide market appears to have made a comeback this Eid-ul-Azha on the back of higher demand, better prices and a bar on rawhides arriving in Dhaka.
Bangladesh earned $3.83 billion in merchandise exports in May, the lowest in nine months, as buoyancy in demand ebbed owing to higher inflation, according to data released by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) today.
During April-January this fiscal, leather and leather products exports rose by 33 per cent to $3.6 billion.
