Caisse cuts Exxon Mobil stake in push to cut carbon intensive holdings

The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec said Tuesday it sold most of its $782 million Exxon Mobil Corp. shares last year as part of a drive to reduce its exposure to carbon-intensive companies. The pension-fund manager owned 1.9 million Exxon Mobil shares as of the end of Dec. 31, down from 8.6 million a year earlier, according to the Caisse’s 2020 annual report.
