Highway 89 around Emerald Bay now open
It took several weeks and challenges with storms and snow slides, but Caltrans crews have been able to get SR89 open around Emerald Bay. The road opened over the weekend though there were two small slides both to the north and south of the Emerald Bay portion of the highway.
