Brian Alford, 26, was found guilty of of second-degree murder in a two-week long jury trial in 2023 for killing 36-year-old Jeremy Diaz at a Colorado Springs Kum & Go. Prior reporting from The Gazette states that Alford shot and killed Diaz at the store after the two got into a verbal argument while standing in line.
