One terrorist has been killed in the Baramulla encounter today. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered, informed Jammu and Kashmir police.
The terrorist, who was killed in a gunfight with the security forces in the Binner area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district, has been identified as a local member of the proscribed outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), officials said on Sunday.
LeT terrorist Sajid Majeed Mir, who allegedly directed the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was sentenced to 15 and a half years in jail by Pakistan court in a terror financing case.
