The earthquake beneficiaries of the largest integrated settlement in Laprak of Gorkha have received the land ownership certificates after the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) completed constructing the houses there. There are 573 houses built in the settlement.
Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Sushil Gyewali and President of NRNA Kumar Panta handed over the houses to the residents of Laprak Integrated Settlement in Dharche Rural Municipality. CEO Gyewali then handed over Lalpurja, the land ownership certificates, to those residents.
On the occasion, CEO Gyewali thanked NRNA and all the Nepalis living in different parts of the world for supporting in the construction of the settlement. ....

Chief Executive officer of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Sushil Gyewali laid the foundation stone for the construction of school buildings of Shree Champadevi Madhyamik Bidhyalay in Ward no. 1 of Dakshinkali Municipality here today.
The two school buildings of three and half storey will altogether have 44 rooms. The school buildings are being reconstructed under the grant assistance from the Indian government as per its commitment at the international donors’ conference held after the 2015 earthquake.
At the foundation laying ceremony, CEO Gyewali the investment in the reconstruction of physical structures would be worth the effort if the students receive standard education. ....

Indian government reimburses Rs. 306 million

The Government of India has provided Rs. 306 million as reimbursement of expenses on rebuilding schools.
Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indian Embassy Namgey Khampa handed over the checque to Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) amidst a function held at the NRA today.
The Indian government is providing financial assistance of Rs. 5 billion (USD 50 million) to rebuild schools in various earthquake-affected districts. India had earlier reimbursed Rs. 500 million.
With the Indian government’s support, 70 schools in seven districts and a library in Kathmandu are being rebuilt. As per the agreement, schools will be rebuilt in Gorkha, Nuwakot, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Kavrepalanchowk, Dhading and Sindhupalchowk while the assistance also includes the reconstruction of the Central Library at the Tribhuvan University. ....
