MONTPELIER — A diminutive alpine shrub last documented in Vermont in 1908 has been rediscovered on Mount Mansfield, the state announced Tuesday.
Vermont botanists had searched Mt. Mansfield, where the plant was last seen, on several occasions over the past decades in hopes of rediscovering the plant. However, all attempts were unsuccessful until last month.
