Your Bowie County Sheriff's Department did more than just arrest people and serve warrants last week, on Saturday, December 2, they, along with the New Boston Police Department, New Boston Fire Fighters, and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers all participated in the New Boston-area Shop with a First Responder event at the New Boston Walmart. It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.    September 17  *Jovan Soto, of Houston. At 4:31 a.m., FSPD officers apprehended Soto and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated BAC greater than 0.15 ($1,500 bond); released the next day.  *Daniel De La Paz Rivas, of Fort Stockton. At 11:30 p.m., FSPD officers apprehended Rivas and charged him with Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence; $4,000 bond set and still in jail. 

Week #2 of 2023 and Bowie County had more than its share of bad behavior last week. Let's start with 74 total arrests in Bowie County, Sheriff's Office Deputies arrested 23 of those while 51 were arrested by other area law enforcement agencies and turned over to the BCSO.
