Murfreesboro Police Utilize ALPR Technology to Apprehend Assault Suspects

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – (November 28, 2023) In a swift and collaborative effort, Murfreesboro Police successfully employed Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology to trace three suspects involved in a brutal assault and stabbing at Kelton’s Hardware. The incident, which occurred on Friday, November 24, left a homeless man critically injured in the parking lot of the hardware store on Old Fort Pkwy.

Car Stolen in Murfreesboro Area Stopped in Lebanon, TN

Late Tuesday evening, Safenet alerted on a stolen white Chevrolet Traverse out of Murfreesboro. Safenet utilizes software that reads license plate numbers and then alerts police when it picks up or reads a plate that is tied to a crime or crime in progress. 
In Wilson County,  Lebanon officers immediately intercepted the vehicle and confirmed it was stolen. The driver is now facing multiple charges.
