Joan Elizabeth Soanes
Joan was born in Port Arthur on July 25, 1937 to Dorothy and Thomas McCormack. She held jobs in insurance, The Thunder Bay Health Unit and Lakehead University as well as a business in optical dispensing. Joan was also tireless in providing support to her husband in his position in optical dispensing. She was an avid reader and her interests included world politics, film and entertainment and a myriad of books written by brilliant authors. She enjoyed the fun of visits to various casinos with her sisters, who she adored. Joan loved her family very much and all of her life was a constant mentor...
