2021 is an election year for the city of Gloucester, and nomination papers are now available for those planning to run for office.
Nominations will be for mayor, at-large city councilors, ward councilors and school committee.
If interested in running for office, contact the City Clerk’s office at 978-281-9720 ext. 4, or email elections@gloucester-ma.gov to schedule an appointment. For further information, see the Elections page of the City of Gloucester website, www.gloucester-ma.gov.
The deadline to take out nomination papers is July 27. The deadline to submit nomination papers for certification of signatures to the Board of Registrars is also July 27 at 5 p.m.
