CORONAVIRUS cases have tripled in one week in three parts of Basingstoke, government data reveals. The Viables area has seen 92 new cases in the seven days to January 5, which is almost triple the week beforehand. It means it has a rolling rate of 1,174.5 cases per 100,000 population, making it one of the highest areas in the country.
