First female mayors of Sykesville, Westminster sworn in
History was made in two Carroll County municipalities on Monday night as Stacy Link, the first female mayor of Sykesville, and Mona Becker, the first female mayor of Westminster, both were sworn in by Circuit Court Clerk Heather DeWees — the first woman to hold that position.
