Through UNODC's efforts, law enforcement officials in Bhutan have received a capacity boost on countering Trafficking in Persons (TIP). The latest training, held in Thimphu, equipped 46 investigators and prosecutors--28 male and 18 female officials--from the Royal Bhutan Police and the Royal Bhutan Army with the necessary knowledge and skills to tackle the issue of TIP more effectively.
A senior inter-divisional delegation from the UNODC Headquarters in Vienna, Austria visited India for comprehensive discussions with key Indian officials, policymakers, stakeholders, UN and partners to strengthen national and regional cooperation in South Asia.
