BENGALURU: The police seized 41,832 vehicles for curfew and lockdown violations in 54 days (April 10 to June 3), averaging 774 per day. Last year, 49,414 vehicles were impounded during the two phases of Covid-19 lockdown — March 24 to April 30 and July 14 to July 22 — at an average of nearly 1,075 a day.
