Elon Musk to launch TruthGPT: Billionaire Elon Musk has announced the launch of TruthGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) platform that he says will rival offerings from Google and Microsoft. In an interview with Fox News Channel s Tucker Carlson, Musk criticized Microsoft-backed OpenAI for training the AI to lie and accused Larry Page, co-founder of Google, of not taking AI safety seriously. Musk, who has been poaching AI researchers from Google, says that TruthGPT will be a maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe and is unlikely to annihilate humans. He also warned that AI has the potential of civilizational destruction. Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but stepped down from the company s board in 2018
