Barbara Faye “Nan” Johnson, 74, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Sheridan County’s Commissioners voted to approve the holiday and other closures for the coming 2021 calendar year, and also voted to approve the assignments to boards, commissions and committees for each county commissioner. The closures are typical, including Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Memorial Day, but includes Sheridan’s traditional closure for the Sheridan WYO Rodeo. Mike Nickel attended his final meeting as a Sheridan County Commissioner Tuesday, and was honored by his fellow commissioners with a number of gifts, presented by Chairman Nick Siddle. Nickel was presented with a card and a certificate from the commissioners and a plaque from the Wyoming County Commissioners Association. Lonnie Wright was elected to the county commission and will assume the seat vacated by Nickel in January.
