Looking Back: The days of the 'Mom & Pop' grocery stores
In the last few weeks we have seen how the modern supermarket went from the simple dry goods stores of the early 1800s to the grocery stores of the early 1900s. If you shopped for groceries in Hartsville in 1920, for example, it would have been nothing like the modern supermarkets of today.
