Dimapur, May 24 (EMN): The Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) on Tuesday served a seven-day ultimatum to the M/S Northeast Enterprise and the concerned contractors over the delay and “slow progress” of road construction from Sanis Zero Point to Lakhuti village under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) II.  In its letter, the student body stated that it had submitted a representation to the company and the concerned contractors on May 13 to expedite the road construction work and complete by March 20 but it didn’t receive any response. “Therefore, the LMRSU is constrained to serve an ultimatum of seven days to expedite the work and also give us written assurance as to when the work will be resumed and completed, failing to do so the LMRSU comprising of twenty three affiliated units (village) will initiate our own legal course of action of which the LMRSU will not be held responsible for any untoward incident,” read the letter.
