Thirteen Connecticut healthcare leaders on Tuesday morning discussed various hot industry topics -- ranging from how the pandemic affected healthcare delivery to the rise in telehealth services and moving away from fee for service -- during five separate panel discussions at an event at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill. The forum titled “Healthcare’s Future: The Post-COVID World” was sponsored by The Connecticut Business & Industry Association and attended by about 130 people.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut has announced that its virtual primary care service is now available to some of its more than 1 million members in the state.  Anthem, which is the market share leader in the state, joins numerous other Connecticut insurers - including Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare - in rolling out virtual primary care services since 2020.
