The massive monster fires within the Smith River Complex continue to grow. Currently, 45,000 acres in northeast Del Norte County has been destroyed by this insatiable monster.
Level 2 (BE SET!) evacuation orders are in place in southern Josephine County by Lone Mountain. A level 1 (BE READY!) evacuation order is in place in O'Brien. This is from the Smith River Complex.
The Smith River Complex is a group of 11 fires burning in Gasquet. The largest fire in the group, the Holiday Fire, has been estimated to be about 100 acres, according to the U.S. Forest Service's Six Rivers National Park unit.
