The yearly crime report released by Commissionerate of Police (CP) office Dimapur disclosed that a total of 712 persons were arrested and 814 cases registered under Indian Penal Code and Special & Local Laws as on December 21. As per the comparative crime statistics report (Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts), CP office said that arrests under Narcotic-Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act topped the list.
