Shelby County officials have pledged $72.5 million toward the construction of a new high school in the Cordova area in a deal that would end a long-running dispute.
Germantown High School students spoke in support of keeping their school open as Memphis and Germantown district officials continue to negotiate a plan for the “three G’s.”
MSCS officials told parents the district's options are to: "Pursue action to maintain buildings, seek funding for new schools, or bus students to other schools."
The Senate passed legislation with different terms than what the House of Representatives passed last week.
