A Sacramento woman is among 12 drivers and passengers in nine states taking legal action against the company.

At a news conference Sunday afternoon, Illinois rideshare drivers and delivery workers announced that local groups are joining a national movement to fight for better working conditions.

"We're making less due to gas prices," ride-hailing driver Adalgisa Payero-Diarra says. "It's pushed us to work more and spend less time with family."
