The Chatham-Kent Art House is a multi-disciplinary event combining visual art and creative writing. The idea initially came from exhibit by Wallaceburg-based surrealist painter Troy Brooks in Los Angeles last summer. Dan White with the Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts says he felt every painting captured one second of a story. The first phase, which is now underway, is a call for visual art submissions. There are no specific guidelines for the works of art, they can be photographs, paintings, or sketches. Submissions will be reviewed by a five-person jury, including White, Brooks, Danielle Coleman, Lynda Moffat, and Jim Capes. ....
