Authorities took the bags of fireworks after the driver of the pickup was found in noncompliance. Civil Protection seized the items after a traffic stop by island police. The Director of Civil Protection, Héctor Mac Marín, reported that Cozumel police stopped a locally plated vehicle that was traveling in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood. ...
