Pilot, student survive Cessna crash in Davao Oriental

(Photo courtesy of PRO-11 Media Group) MANILA - The flight instructor and student pilot of the Cessna 150 aircraft that crash-landed in Mati, Davao Oriental on Monday sustained just minor bruises. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) report obtained by the Philippine News Agency stated that Capt. Manuel Nierra II and Jeremiah Agonia are being treated at Mati Provincial Hospital. They were supposed to perform a touch-and-go landing at the Mati Airport. The aircraft with registry number RP-C 9005 and owned by Mactan Aviation Technology Center Inc. took off at Runway 14 at around 7:30 a.m. but experienced technical problems.
