More than 80% of the daily business for restaurants and bars will be wiped out in Haryana with night curfew in the state and many top chains are planning to shut down till the restriction is in force, executives at large dining chains said.
“The 9 pm-onwards curfew means we have to shut down at 8 pm. This is not sustainable at all and doesn’t cover the costs of operating. Lunch business is very small since most people are working from home in any case,” said Zorawar Kalra, MD of Massive Restaurants, which runs marquee restaurants Farzi Cafe and Made In Punjab, among others.
