Thursday May 13th, 2021 10:00am (Photo Courtesy: Dave Anderson)  We made it! After months of wondering whether the 2021 season would even happen, the powers that be figured it out. The student-athletes and coaches stayed as safe and healthy as possible under unprecedented circumstances (can we retire that phrase soon?). And now, we’ve arrived at May Madness.  Choosing the 29-team field involved some unprecedented (sorry) discussions. The Big Ten only played conference opponents. Some teams played 11 or 12 games while others got in 16 or more. And the bracket isn’t without controversy (D...

Saturday April 17th, 2021 10:00pm (Photo: BC Athletics)  We’ve arrived at Week 10 of college lacrosse and it feels like just yesterday that we were in awe of UNC’s highlight reel transition up the field against Stony Brook on opening weekend. Then I blinked, and suddenly we were in mid-April, celebrating the Class of 2021 senior days. Perhaps it is a side-effect of new motherhood (coupled with exhaustion and a frighteningly low brain function) that it feels like these ten weeks have been a complete whirlwind. Though there may be some upsets in conference tournaments that shake up AQs and snubs on Selection Sunday, we usually have a good idea of who the top dogs and contenders are in conferences. This year, there are still so many question marks. We know UNC is, as expected, playing like the top team in the country, having survived a scare from Notre Dame. Northwestern has also been dominant but has only played conference opponents in a Big ...

Friday April 9th, 2021 11:30am (Photo Courtesy: Maryland Athletics)   Last weekend, all eyes were on the much-anticipated No. 1 vs. No. 2 meeting between top-ranked UNC and then-No. 2 Syracuse. The game ended in a ‘Heels rout.  This weekend, you’ll want to have a few tabs open as UNC faces another formidable opponent in Notre Dame and conference play heats up around the country as teams look to bolster their tournament resumes. No. 3 Syracuse and No. 6 Virginia Look to Bounce Back in the ACC Syracuse bounced back from its first loss of the season with a win over Georgetown Tuesday. On ...
