Gunmen suspected to be terrorists on Wednesday attacked travellers in Kadobe village, Katsina State, killing a yet-to-be specified number of people. Some of the travellers were also kidnapped by the gunmen.   The vehicles were attacked on the Jibia – Katsina highway which leads to Maradi in the Niger Republic. There are over 20 security checkpoints on the 38-kilometre road from the capital city, Katsina, to Magama Jibia. Those kidnapped by the terrorists were said to have been taken into the forest.
