महाराष्ट्र सरकार में अपनी अनदेखी को लेकर कई बार सवाल खड़ा कर चुकी कांग्रेस ने अगले विधानसभा चुनाव में अकेले ही लड़ने का ऐलान किया है। महाराष्ट्र कांग्रेस चीफ नाना पटोले ने कहा है कि राज्य में अब पार्टी अकेले चुनाव लड़ेगी। इसके बाद एक बार फिर महाराष्ट्र में सियासी पारा चढ़ गया है। पटोले ने इस दौरान सीएम बनने की इच्छा भी जाहिर कर दी है।

नाना पटोले ने कहा, 'कांग्रेस महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनाव अकले लड़ेगी। अगर आलाकमान फैसला लेता है तो मैं मुख्यमंत्री का चेहरा बनने को तैयार हूं।' पटोले के इस बयान से एक बार फिर यह संकेत मिले हैं कि राज्य की महा विकास अघाड़ी सरकार में सबकुछ ठीक नहीं चल रहा है। 
राज्य की गठबंधन सरकार में सबसे अहम भूमिका निभा रही एनसीपी ने कहा था कि महा विकास अघाडी (एमवीए) के तीनों घटक महाराष्ट्र सरकार चलाने के मुद्दे पर एकजुट हैं लेकिन वर्ष 2024 में होने वाले राज्य विधानसभा और लोकसभा के चुनाव साथ लड़ने पर अबतक फैसला नहीं हुआ है।
राकांपा के प्रवक्ता और महाराष्ट्र सरकार में मंत्री नवाब मलिक ने यह टिप्पणी प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले के उस बयान के एक दिन बाद की है जिसमें उन्होंने कहा था कि अगले विधानसभा सभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस सबसे बड़ी पार्टी बनकर उभरेगी। शनिवार को पटोले ने अमरावती में कहा था कि वर्ष 2024 के चुनाव में कांग्रेस राज्य में सबसे बड़ी पार्टी बनकर उभरेगी और केवल कांग्रेस की विचारधारा ही देश को बचा सकती है।इस बीच, कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता नसीम खान ने कहा कि अगर उनकी पार्टी अकेले चुनाव लड़ती है तो उसे इसका फायदा होगा।
