Local individuals include: Miya LaBarr of Clemmons; Mary Taylor of Mount Airy; and Harper Ray of Winston-Salem. WCCB Charlotte's CW April 8, 2021 Alexander County residents, neighborhoods, businesses, organizations, and churches are encouraged to participate in the county clean up. Officials with the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) say they recently hired contractors to pick up litter on the primary roads in the county, but now the county is looking for volunteers to help resolve the trash problem.
